Look for flights departing to Toronto or Montreal from cities such as Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester or Leeds. You can book cheap return flights with the UK national carrier British Airways already for £178! Fare is inclusive of all taxes and fees and 23kg bag. In some cases you can book the lowest fare only when there is airport change in London on your way. On the other hand this is crazy low solution with British Airways available also in spring and beginning of summer season which peak season and perfect time to visit Canada!
