Star Alliance member Brussels Airlines offer super cheap return flights from Amsterdam to Mumbai in India already for €204! Note that first leg between Amsterdam and Brussels is based on rail service. As this is possible error fare deal we recommend to book this asap also do not book your connection flight nor accommodation. Only once you receive formal booking confirmation start planning your trip to India (but still wait at least few weeks before you book anything else).
